Nah see, what's gona happen is, after Dust is released and has been running alongside EVE for several years, CCP will release a new game. A jet fighter/orbital attack fighter game, wherein you can fly all the way from ground level to support dust bunnies, all the way up and out of atmo where you can then attack EVE players in orbit. /insane dream. |

And it would be called "Mist" or something abstract like that. Hopefully some day they'll have a game where you can own a transport ship, land, visit towns, wheel and deal for cargo, take on passengers, then take off and travel to other planets.. outrun imperial scum, and even dump contraband when you are about ot get boarded. Basically be Han Solo.
Dude, I've been saying for YEARS we need a Han Solo; Intergalactic Smuggler game BUT NOBODY LISTENS TO ME! Seriously, out of all the SW games that have been made, the fact that one such as this has not been made baffles me.

Well... awesome. I was under the impression the technicalities of jumping between 2 entirely different games would be a nightmare to work out, but if that's the case then I'm impressed.
Now they can also start thinking about the next game/expansion after the jetfighter/orbital attack craft game (working title Mist (thanks Rhadiem)), which will be an RTS where you issue orders to troops on the ground and playing in seperate matches on the same planet, calling in support and abilities that can hamper the enemy team or that buff your own side (think Ruse). Players wouldn't have to follow those orders of course, but there'd be massive incentives for doing so. Eventually you'd work up to coordinating every player on the ground, in the air, and in space across all 3 games as you launch full scale planetary/solar invasions.
Yes, this is the extent of my insane dream. |
